Liz Carlin from Councilman Wesson’s office announced three upcoming events. - A cleanup day Sat 4-17 from 9am to 12 on Washington Blvd. Meet at 4117 W. Washington Blvd. to help cleanup the tree guards on Washington Blvd.
- An E-waste recycling event, also 4-17 at Castle Heights Elementary School, 9755 Cattaraugus, from 9am to 1pm. All electrical equipment, computers, cell phones, small appliances, etc. No batteries or motor oil please.
- On Sat.4-24 VIP viewing and reception 10:30am-12 for “Hail to the Chief” a Photographic Art Exhibit of President Barack Obama. At the Nat Holden Performing Arts Center, 4718 W. Washington Blvd. Please RSVP by Thurs April 22 to 323-733-8233.
Senior Lead Officer Thomas reported on recent activities and responded to questions. Anyone who sees the illegal fruit vendor at 18th and Crescent Heights should call Officer Thomas.
There was an update on the revisions to the website, including some plans for the future. Any suggestions please contact the administrator Mrs. Nadia Levine. There was an update on the Yard Sale and some safety tips and pricing tips. Don’t let anyone into your house. Keep your house locked and watch your valuable stuff. Don’t leave money in a cash box, have change and watch people, unfortunately people will walk off with your “stuff” without paying. See more info elsewhere on the website. Pico Neighborhood Council elections will be Thursday May 13, at Tom Bradley Center voting 2pm to 8pm. You must go to Tom Bradley to vote. Welcome to a new business in our area.
